ONTARIO FIRE CODE · O. REG. 213/07
FireSquire's answer is a one-button PDF: every monthly check, every service visit, every problem found and fixed. The checks themselves take 60 seconds — any staff member scans the QR label and runs the checklist on their phone.

THIS YEAR
FAILED ITEM → NOTE + PHOTO → DEFICIENCY OPENED
Ontario's Fire Code requires a monthly visual inspection of every portable extinguisher, an annual service by a certified company, and a pressure test every 5 to 12 years depending on the type. You have to keep a record for each unit and show it when a fire inspector asks. The binder in the boiler room — filled in the night before — reads as exactly what it is.
EVERY MONTH
Visual inspection
You or your staff can do this one. FireSquire turns it into a checklist on your phone.
EVERY YEAR
Certified service
A certified company has to do it. FireSquire tracks the deadline and stores the service record.
EVERY 5–12 YEARS
Pressure testing
Hydrostatic tests, by extinguisher type. FireSquire calculates the date from the nameplate.
STEP 1
Register each extinguisher
One-time setup: type, serial, and dates off the nameplate. FireSquire works out every deadline and prints a QR label for the unit.
STEP 2
Scan and check, monthly
Any phone camera opens that unit's checklist. Seven items, under a minute. A failed item asks for a note and a photo.

FIRESQUIRE · PER BUILDING, ALWAYS AUDIT-READY

Records that hold up
Once recorded, an inspection can't be edited or backdated, by anyone — including you. Your log reads as evidence, not paperwork done the night before.
Problems tracked to fixed
A failed item opens a deficiency. The report shows the pair inspectors look for: what was found, who fixed it, and when.
